KLRU Pledge Drive

KLRU has invited the Austin Planetarium back  to participate in another pledge drive. On August 3rd at 7:00pm KLRU will be airing the NOVA episode Hubble's Amazing Rescue, which follows the story of the final NASA service mission to the Hubble Space telescope in 2009. Austin Planetarium Executive Director Torvald Hessel will be in the KLRU studios to provide on-air interviews during the breaks to discuss Hubble, astronomy in Austin and the Austin Planetarium project. Some of the Austin Planetarium crew and volunteers will also be on hand to help answer phones and raise money for PBS in Austin.
