How you can help
A project of this magnitude can never be achieved without an incredible team, but most importantly, this project requires overwhelming support from the community. Of course, we need money to operate our business, and eventually enough money to build the facility, but we also need volunteers; and when we need to convince politicians at the city or state level, we need an army of voices. Below we have listed some ways you can help us in our efforts.

Make a Donation
There are lots of ways to make a difference for the Austin Planetarium, but the most significant and direct way is to make a donation. In our current effort to raise funds to construct a planetarium and science museum here in Austin. Make a difference right here.

Become a Member (Coming Soon)Although the Austin planetarium is not open yet, there are definite benefits to becoming a member. By becoming a member of the Austin Planetarium you are not only actively supporting this project, you will also receive a host of benefits. Our partners have developed great discount programs that are available exclusively to our members. Want to receive a 10% discount at the Long Center? Or free tickets to another museum in town? All you have to do is become a member at any level to begin reaping the rewards. Austin Planetarium memberships also make perfect gifts, plus all donations are tax deductible of course.

Sign up for our NewsletterThe simplest way to support our efforts is to sign up to receive our newsletter. This is quick, easy and free. Once signed up, you will receive an email once a month detailing our progress, events that we participate in, and science/astronomy news of the day. But most importantly, when we need your help, we know there is an army of supporters ready to act.

Volunteer your timeThe Austin Planetarium hosts fundraising events, and conducts manned missions to events around town; like the annual Zilker Park Kite Festival and the Pecan Street Festival. However, we need a presence at more events to inform the general public about our project, and we need volunteers to help out during these events. So, put that smiling face and winning personality to good use and become an emissary of the Austin Planetarium by signing up to volunteer here!
