We are creating an Austin Planetarium Membership program, and hope to have this up and running before the end of the year. We are working with several museums, businesses and other entities in and around Austin to create gift packages and benefits for Austin planetarium members.

Become a Member of the Austin Planetarium

No we do not have a planetarium in Austin yet, but yes you definitely can become a member and receive a wide (and growing) variety of benefits! By donating small amounts in large numbers, the Austin community can help making the Austin Planetarium a reality. We have membership levels starting at only $5 per month. You can choose to donate annually or monthly (due to transaction fees, the monthly donation levels are a little more expensive then the annual). Each level comes with its own benefits and gifts. Take a look at the levels below and decide what membership level best meets your budget.

How the money is used

The money raised through our membership drive is used to sustain our operations. Right now, the Austin Planetarium is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and we have many costs to simply sustain our efforts. We have a growing staff, office rent, utilities etc. Your money will primarily be used to sustain our fundraising efforts to build the Austin Planetarium. Of course, any additional funds raised through memberships will be entrusted into our Austin Planetarium Foundation, which is 100% dedicated to actually building the facility.
